What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Tech Lead who is focused on leading a team of SDETs to deliver high quality applications, defining the proper strategy, scope and metrics.  This position will champion our automation testing platform, develop/design test frameworks, fixtures, and practices across multiple products in Trading Platforms department.  Success in this role requires a leader with strong knowledge in QA processes and automation, who can collaborate across teams, think innovatively and have great problem-solving capabilities.

• Provide Leadership to a team of SDETs on QA processes and technical strategies for automation
• Provide mentorship and manage team development, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Collaborate with development, and product teams to integrate quality driven process into the SDLC

• Define and implement metrics, aligned to product and business
• Document and track program defects
• Provide guidance to the rest of the team on designing and implementing test plans
• Research and apply emerging test tools, trends and methodologies
• Own critical projects, adapting quickly to shifting priorities, and drive results aligned with product/business strategy
• Spearhead initiatives that enhance testing efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks and testing strategies, improving test coverage and execution speed

The Skills You Bring:

• Experience leading and mentoring teams
• Experience cross collaborating with different teams
• Hands on experience with automation tools for frontend and backend
• Experience being a champion for quality with experience in 1 or more test-frameworks (nUnit, XUnit, etc)
• One or more scripting languages suitable for automation such as Powershell, Bash, or Python
• Strong technical skills and raw intellectual ability
• Ability to translate business requirements into test plans and test cases
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt and learn
• Experience with Agile Development is a must
• Good understanding on how to test backend and frontend applications.  Frontend, especially in web environments
• Familiarity with containerization software such as Kubernetes preferred
• Brokerage/trading platform experience preferred
• Experience in testing high performance and/or mission critical applications preferred
• Test Driven Development (TDD) preferred
• Distributed Source Control tools (Git, Mercurial) preferred
• Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS or Azure) preferred
• Experience with web-based software testing tool like TestRail preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of application testing or developing experience
• 3+ years of leading testing teams
