We are seeking an energetic, passionate and intuitive marketing and communication professional with exceptional communication skills who challenges traditional thinking and demonstrates innovative approaches to marketing.  The Communication Specialist will play an integral role in our acquisition and customer communication strategy, marketing plan development and implementation, reporting directly to our Director of Marketing, CRM and Communication.
This position is responsible for supporting our marketing communication initiatives, with a focus on content creation, and communication strategy to optimize client onboarding, engagement and overall experience with TradeStation. The role will work on a variety of marketing channels like digital, landing pages, email, and social media, with a strong emphasis on content creation and strategy. This role will also assist with public relations and TradeStation sponsored events.
  • Manage a broad spectrum of strategic content projects, prioritizing appropriately and ensuring content solutions follow our content guidelines
  • Work with colleagues across TradeStation to collaborate and obtain relevant approvals before publishing
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Research and build expertise in the financial sector to support content objectives
  • Assist with coordinating public relations activities
  • Work with our PR Agency to audit content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations  
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Strong grammar and written communication skills required
  • SEO experience and knowledge on how to incorporate into content
  • Understand the appropriate content styles for different marketing channels (emails, landing pages, social media, etc.)
  • A proactive, self-starter with a passion for marketing and communications
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority at one time
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication, advertising, marketing or related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in a marketing function with 1+ year of writing and content creation
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Project management experience
  • Relevant industry experience a strong advantage
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce a plus
