As a Cryptocurrency Settlements Specialist, you will work within the Operations team supporting the settlement of Crypto via BitGo Trust Company as well as performing validations related to the settlement of FIAT currency.  The individual will work across different teams to perform high volume, complex clearing specifically related to individual and institutional accounts, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with the policy implementation and execution of an effective settlements workflow
  • Provide operational support in the department to ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, regulations and statues as well as all corporate policies and procedures
  • Data validation of net settlement of various cryptocurrency coins with exchanges and liquidity providers
  • Partner with various teams to define operating model related to cryptocurrency
  • Ensure books and records are reconciled and all exceptions are documented, reported and escalated in accordance with firm policy
  • Perform critical account and asset reconciliation and record-keeping
  • Perform system testing and enhancements when required

Other essential job functions:  
  • Work with risk, compliance and other business stakeholders to establish / define standard operations procedures related to the operational workflow of Cryptocurrency
  • Ensure tight controls and governance of the operational processes
  • Work with Treasury management to establish base line cash management and reporting for effective liquidity management
  • Work closely with Business Management and Technology teams to identify enhancements that will streamline the workflow and enhance the client experience, while reducing operational risk
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed
  • Identify market trends with a focus on capitalizing on market events
  • Work with regulators to ensure transparency, controls, governance and oversight
  • Continuous assessment and evaluation of appropriate operational processes
  • On-going monitoring of client trading patterns with keen awareness of risk exposure, performance drivers, and market environments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Experience in supporting Cryptocurrency settlements and associated functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of key operational processes, including basic knowledge of books and records
  • Exceptional thought-provoking team player

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Financial Industry: 2 – 5 years of experience
  • FINRA Licenses: Series 99 and 7 optional
