The Director, Compensation is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs.    The Director, Compensation will report to the Vice President, Human Resources and partner with senior leadership to ensure that the compensation strategy for each role meets the needs of the business and all legal requirements. 
  • Manage the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
  • Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
  • Design creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans
  • Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data
  • Oversee the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate experience in leading/managing processes and or people
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships across departments
  • Excellent judgement and the ability to keep confidences
  • Deep knowledge of compensation practices.
  • Thoroughly optimistic, a self-starter with lots of initiative, and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Human Resource Information Systems
  • 5 years or more in a managerial role with experience related to developing and managing a broad range of compensation plans
  • CCP preferred
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
