We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Director, Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee and work with a team of skilled project managers responsible for the planning and implementation of a wide variety of projects. The PMO is responsible for managing the strategic corporate priority projects from conceptual planning through implementation and reporting on the health and progress to both the project stakeholders and our executive team. The PMO works with colleagues from all parts of our organization. The role gets exposure to projects that range anywhere from technical integrations to launching new product lines and adding new subsidiaries. Each project is unique and makes this role highly visible to different areas of the company. 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of experienced project managers
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and scheduling of corporate projects
  • Track project health and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Provide project reports to business and all other stakeholders
  • Interact with various departments such as Development, Operations, Sales, Product and Marketing to gather product feedback and communicate product release and changes
  • Lead project management improvement practices and implement new process and tools when necessary, to cultivate an efficient and transparent project management organization
  • Optimize and evaluate the performance of the PMO team based on KPIs and goals
  • Select, develop, and assess PMO employees, ensuring an efficient and productive operation
  • Oversee the TradeStation Development time tracking system and process
  • Mentor project managers by sharing expertise and experience to promote teamwork and facilitate individual development
Project Management Responsibilities

Effectively lead and direct multiple projects to completion by leveraging best practice PMO methodology:
  • Work with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and objectives
  • Create and keep up to date and detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Delegate project tasks and deliverables
  • Coordinate personnel and oversee task estimation to ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Hold status meetings and provide status updates
  • Take and distribute meeting notes
  • Create and organize project documentation
  • Define and execute the project communication plan to ensure ongoing communication of the project status is timely and consistent
  • Develop, monitor, and manage all timelines and create detailed reports on progress towards milestones and deliverables
Identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements:
  • Proactively engage the Executive Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, PMO, and project team to ensure that project risks and issues are identified, documented, quantified, and communicated early
  • Provide the necessary information and recommendation option(s) on time to Project Sponsors on critical issues that will require a decision to be rendered that will impact the project scope, quality, resources, deliverables, timeline, or costs
  • Review proposed modifications to project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes

  • Experience – We are looking for someone with a distinct blend of business, financial service, and IT experience, as this is a highly visible position with a substantial impact. We want someone that can hit the ground running.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills – You need to be able to articulate complex business and technical concepts in everyday terminology while keeping all project documentation organized.
  • Excellent communication skills – We work with people in many locations. Communication is key to pushing projects forward. You need to be able to articulate and escalate issues with the relevant parties to remove roadblocks or obstacles that would impact the delivery of the project, and effectively report on status, risks, and timeline of the project.
  • Ability to build relationships – You need to be able to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment while being adaptable and flexible. You need to be able to work with all levels of personnel while promoting good working relationships and cultivating trust with members across our organization.
  • Results-driven with a “get things done” attitude – This is one of the key differentiators we are looking for. You will run into roadblocks. You must be the type of person that will push through the barriers and find solutions.
  • Comfortable holding people accountable for their deliverables – You need to stay on top of people to get things done. Sometimes things need to be escalated to resolve. You need to feel comfortable doing both.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or another related field
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of products
  • Familiar with software development tools such as JIRA and the Agile development process
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary leadership within an organization
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
