Plantation, FL
 
The Institutional Sales Support Specialist role will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support of our Institutional and Trading Operations businesses and will play an integral role in onboarding and supporting our Institutional clientele.  The successful candidate will partner with the Institutional Sales and Relationship Management teams and be responsible for supporting the core departmental objectives, data management and analysis, business reporting, portfolio management and client onboarding functions.  The role will also focus on ways to enhance our institutional offering with a goal of successfully executing departmental and corporate initiatives. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide account services support to Institutional clients and RIA’s for all areas of account maintenance which include account activity inquiries, allocations support, soft dollar, auditor requests and enhanced reporting
  • Serve as a liaison between client and clearing operations teams
  • Manage the institutional client onboarding process, identify potential opportunities to create new efficiencies with the AOP, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve the process
  • Work with senior departmental personnel on developing monthly and quarterly KPI dashboards
  • Set-up all internal trading parameters for new accounts which include set-up and support for the allocation piece, buying power assignments for DVP, Give-up and Allocation accounts and soft dollar arrangements
  • Support business-critical projects - such as understanding sudden changes in core business metrics and delivering clear recommendations to reverse negative trends / accelerate positive trend
  • Support the Sales and RM teams in contract and onboarding activities
  • Support product rollouts to customers and assist institutional clients with product support
  • Work hand in hand with Sales, Marketing and Compliance Departments to establish and maintain internal and regulatory standards
  • Maintain workflow and follow up with new relationships to make sure all new accounts receive service in a timely manner
  • Prepare and verify accuracy of client reporting with very close attention to detail on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis within set deadlines for client deliverables
  • Work with the Marketing team on developing client communications and promotional emails to prospect and capture new business
  • Work with IT and the Institutional business line to create and set up reporting for new clients and respond to requests for report modifications for existing clients
  • May be required to facilitate issue resolution and communication with clients
  • Other operational tasks as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • Four-year college degree required
  • Securities licenses 7 and 63 are required, 24 strongly recommended
  • Minimum of 3-5 years financial industry experience with an emphasis on client onboarding and operational support
