POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of FP&A will play a key role in curating a cohesive narrative for financial reporting results and ad-hoc analysis, particularly as it pertains to communicating to investors. S/he will work closely with the FP&A team, Investor Relations, Accounting and the business in the preparation of quarterly investor relations information, including, but not limited to: preparation and consolidation of monthly variance analysis, quarterly/annual report schedules, script writing, Q&A preparation for quarterly investor calls, and other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis
  • Serve as a liaison between Investor Relations, the Corporate FP&A department, and Accounting to ensure monthly reporting and forecast planning deadlines are met
  • Assist in the production of materials for monthly and quarterly business unit lookback presentations and related materials for management review, board materials, and investor relations
  • Assist in building analyst binder, analyst models, and other items that are in early stages or do not yet exist in our pre-public status
  • Manage and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal and external reporting processes, both financial and as it pertains to telling the story of and communicating progress against business objectives
  • Work closely with finance senior leaders to provide appropriate leadership throughout the close process to ensure efficient and timely completion, particularly for quarter end
  • Support investor relations materials that provide transparency into both operational and financial performance and objectives
  • Research and prepare ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership team’s ability to answer investor questions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management with superior interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Must be an expert with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (skills include Pivot Tables, Charts, Lookups, Logic Formulas, Goal Seek)
  • High level of energy, a self-starter and team player willing to take on responsibilities 
  • Detail orientation, very high personal standards and continuous improvement mindset, acting with high level of integrity and dependability
  • Strong business and common sense with ability to make decisions under tight time constraints
  • Able to work independently managing multiple tasks, including working productively from home
  • Creative and innovative problem-solver
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus, as is experience with Oracle EPBCS or PBCS or similar financial planning software
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting or similar
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, business partnering, or investment banking
  • Prior experience in a publicly traded company
  • Sell side experience is a plus
