We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Director of Product Strategy for our new digital Wealth Management business. This person will be responsible for assessing and defining TradeStation's product strategy and main business opportunities in the digital Wealth Management direct-to-consumer industry, crafting a product plan for TradeStation's entry in the space and implementing a go-to-market plan.

This role reports to the VP of Product Management and is an ideal opportunity for someone excited to get their hands dirty building and growing a new product offering from the ground up. This person will have the unique opportunity to influence our overall corporate strategy and help shape the vision of the company as we grow in this space.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assess product opportunities in the Wealth Management, digital advisor, and Robo-advisor space
  • Define the company's product vision and product differentiation strategy and coordinate product roadmaps with business stakeholders, marketing, and the product development teams to execute a go-to-market plan
  • Understand the business arena, customer needs, technology trends, and the competitive landscape in the Wealth Management digital advisor and Robo-advisor industry
  • Enjoy spending time in the market with customers and vendors to understand the opportunities or issues, and find innovative solutions to differentiate and grow the product
  • Manage and monitor the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with our Technology, Operations, and Marketing teams
  • Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, designers, marketing managers, product owners, and development teams to optimize marketing messages and product features and maximize product positioning
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Track record of taking new digital financial advisory or Robo-advisor products to market
  • Knowledge of product management roles, responsibilities and best practices in an Agile organization
  • Strong analytical and data-driven business goal mindset
  • An advocate for simple and effective product designs and customer experience
  • Constant self-improvement, permanent learning, and intellectual curiosity is required
  • A passion for learning about innovative market trends in Fintech and technology
  • Outstanding communicator and collaborator
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in product management or business owner role in a digital wealth management, direct-to-consumer technology company
  • Expertise in Fintech in the areas of investing, trading, wealth management, or asset management
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's/MBA a plus)
  • 7+ years' experience as a product manager/business analyst in the securities industry
