Product Manager - Margin Trading
Preferred Location:  Plantation, FL; can be based in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX

We are seeking a Product Manager for Margin Trading who will be responsible for understanding, prioritizing and defining the business needs, managing the product life cycle, and working closely to support many teams including Brokerage Operations, Trading Operations, Client Services, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Marketing. The position will also ensure efficient and scalable margin and risk management solutions that meet our business operations and growth needs.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate those needs into creative solutions
  • Create detailed requirements documents and work closely with the development teams to ensure products meet the business needs
  • Assist in assuring timely completion and implementation of quality solutions, including developing new solutions and enhancing/maintaining/supporting existing systems
  • Receive and provide guidance to top management on the roadmap for internal applications
  • Evaluate and suggest improvement to existing processes
  • Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with developers, vendors, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Marketing
  • Knowledge of US margin regulations (FINRA rule 4210, Reg T, Portfolio Margin, strategy, and risk-based margin)
  • Working understanding of order execution systems, buying power rules and order validations
  • Equities, options, and futures risk management principles
  • Background in brokerage operations and risk management
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to investigate, summarize and present new product opportunities
  • Team player who can work flexible hours and must be willing to travel as necessary
  • Experience with industry vendors such as FIS (phase 3 and GMI), Global Risk, Yodlee, Plaid, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s/MBA a plus)
  • 5+ Years’ experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner/Business Analyst/Margin Specialist in the securities industry
  • Series 7 (a plus)
