The Salesforce Application specialist will work with ongoing development of our Salesforce.com deployment. The candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using Salesforce Finance & Services platform. They will work closely with functional leaders, development teams, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes including Marketing, and our core program business processes. This role is part administrator, and part Salesforce DevOps, Automation & Data Management expert. Will be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM platform, in line with our firms SDLC guidelines. Candidate must be familiar with deploying Salesforce solutions, and establishing repeatable automation for efficiencies. Primary focus is automating repeating tasks through Salesforce tooling and continious process improvement identification & implementation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Serves as a primary support specialist for the Salesforce.com environment with 300+ users.
  • Administer and support Salesforce including user setup and design/configuration of Custom Objects, Profiles and Roles, Workflow/Process Builder, Visual Flows, Custom Fields, Validation Rules, Page Layouts & Dashboards.
  • As part of the Operations team will coordinates the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests. Effectively acts as a liaison between our users, and the application development teams.
  • Works independently with members of the user community to define and document process improvement requirements. Establish performance & governance reporting. 
  • Handles special projects, upserting data from a legacy Dynamics environment.
  • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies and investigates questionable data.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Required:
  • Minimum four years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator
  • Salesforce.com Admin certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with T-SQL to interact with legacy datasets and extract information from them.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Experience with Testing and DevOps procedures
  • Strong understanding of the platform, and experience with custom apps and objects, apex, Salesforce DX, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Good understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Familiar with data classification to facilitate compliance needs
  • Ability to work effectively remotely with a highly experienced team of operations & development personnel
  • Successfully driving projects to completion
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements for Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Familiar with scripting languages to achieve programmatic deployment of changes to distinct salesforce environments used in software development life cycle
  • Creation of solutions that are secure, reusable and scalable
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years application support/automation experience
  • Experience with Agile Development preferred
