The Salesforce Development Lead at TradeStation will be responsible for working with technical, business and other stakeholders on various Salesforce projects. The ideal candidate will lead and also work hand-in-hand with a team of developers and subject matter experts to make sure we leverage full capabilities offered by the platform to their fullest potential. The candidate should have exceptional technical skills in system design, development and customization of Salesforce and integration tools. The development lead has the responsibility to ensure that the development of the technical specifications fulfill the desired outcomes of the user stories from the business.
  • Leading design and development sessions with Business and Technical teams to understand and document technical requirements for Salesforce feature implementations, enhancements/features and integrations
  • Effectively partnering with various technology teams (Architecture, Ops and Support) to define and implement well designed, simple, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using various technologies
  • Design and develop customizations, enhancements and services based on the Salesforce requirements including Sales/Service/Marketing/Communities/Einstein/Mobile
  • Design and implement data structure, flows, Apex classes, and Lightning components to support application build as needed
  • Manage source control repository and review code to ensure quality development
  • Creating and enabling best practices, governance measures, and patterns for custom and configured solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Ensure software development life cycle is adhered to, facilitating on-time, high quality releases.
  • Lead the way in assuring timely completion and implementation of quality solutions including developing new solutions and enhancing/maintaining/supporting existing systems.
  • Manage and work closely with developers to design robust applications and features per department needs
  • Manage and work closely with the development team to help them understand the stories and the technical approach by answering questions and clarifications
  • Participate and play a key technical lead role in all agile ceremonies i.e sprint planning, daily huddles, and retrospectives
  • Assist management in ensuring resources are efficiently utilized
  • Document all project related technical and system documentation, maintain a technical SOP Manual, and assist in monitoring compliance
  • Ensure that all new projects, as well as modifications to existing systems are in compliance with related regulations
  • Good knowledge of data migration, integration tools and methodologies
  • Participate in peer design and code reviews as part of the Dev-Ops process
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues in complex Salesforce applications
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • 6+ years of Salesforce Sales & Service development experience with Apex, Visualforce, triggers, batch Apex, Salesforce APIs, configuring Salesforce using workflows, validation rules, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards
  • Financial Services Industry – Financial Services Cloud experience is a plus
  • Brokerage/trading platform experience is a plus
  • CRM certifications and experience in (CTA, System Architect)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to embrace work and challenges
  • Expert in OOPS, programming languages and web-based applications
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce, APEX, Configuration, AppExchange applications
  • Hands-on and in-depth expertise in configuration and custom development in Salesforce Services Cloud, Sales cloud, CPQ and Community Cloud
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Lightning framework, security and performance features
  • Expert in design and development of REST and SOAP based integrations
  • Strong Salesforce declarative configuration and automation tools experience (Process/Flow Builder, Workflow Rules, etc.)
  • Experience and Knowledge with git and CI/CD tools and principles
  • Experience in working in a Lean or Agile development environment
  • Knowledge of common testing methodologies, terminology and industry standards
  • Enthusiastic learners who can think creatively, raise questions, and research items as necessary. Possessing a “Can Do” attitude to build quality product at a high velocity.
