What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a Salesforce Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is focused on delivering high quality Salesforce solutions. This position will champion our automation testing platform, develop/design test frameworks, fixtures, and practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create and manage automated testing suites including unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests
- Ensure new features are appropriately tested prior to release
- Create, automate, and execute test plans that generate artifacts to validate proper functioning of the different services and applications, and provide quality-related metrics
- Learn and understand how customers use the applications to write tests that validate the customer’s expectations
- Identify, document, and track program defects
- Raise software and code quality issues within the team; developers write tests too, but our test engineer is completely focused on quality
- Collaborate with other teams to learn from them and share ideas around automation/testing
- Research and apply emerging test tools, trends, and methodologies
The Skills You Bring:
- Knowledge of Salesforce Platform configuration and development
- Experience with Salesforce automated test tools (Apex Unit testing, Postman, Cypress)
- Ability to translate user stories and requirements into test cases
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt and learn
- One or more scripting languages suitable for automation such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Continuous build integration tools (Azure Devops)
- Source control management system (Git)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-3+ years application testing or developing
- Experience with Agile Development preferred
- Experience developing or testing in Salesforce
