What We Are Looking For:
We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Director to establish and manage a new regulated brokerage firm, ‘TradeStation Europe B.V.’ in Amsterdam. This firm will be regulated by the Authority for Financial Markets (AFM) and Dutch Central bank (DnB) to provide investment services to customers on a pan-European basis under a MiFID passport, providing brokerage services in listed US equity, futures and options, to sophisticated retail and Institutional customers across the European Union. The new firm will be a wholly owned subsidiary of TradeStation Group in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with external partners and TradeStation Group departments to set up the office and gain the relevant regulatory licenses from the AFM and DNB to launch and run the brokerage business
- Responsible for financial forecasts, delivery of agreed budgetary targets, plus local regulatory and company audit requirements
- Responsible for the corporate management and reporting requirements for the organization and running of regular board meetings
- Develop and implement processes and procedures related to the operation of the business, including AML/KYC, customer management, service and support activities by collaborating with appropriate TradeStation companies and departments as needed
- Develop and implement growth strategies focused on client acquisition and B2B business across active retail, institutional and Fintech segments
- Hire and manage individuals to work within the firm to deliver compliance/risk, sales, marketing, and client support capabilities in conjunction with existing departments across the TradeStation Group companies
- Research competitive and regulatory landscapes, in order to optimize business development strategy and minimize risk
- Identify, analyze and document the risks associated with a company’s business operations and regulatory environment and implement required remedial activities
- Develop data metrics and KPIs as a core input for performance management, business analysis and decision-making process

Minimum Qualifications:
- University undergraduate level education required as a minimum
- At least 5 years demonstratable experience operating at a management and leadership level
- A strong understanding of the financial services industry, European retail and institutional marketplace and trader segments
- First-hand experience of operating in a financial services regulated business
- Demonstratable ability to provide exemplary leadership within an organization
Desired Qualifications:
- Online brokerage or investment services experience
- Familiarity with the Dutch investment services regulatory regime and experience of working in a Dutch investment firm
