POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for driven individuals to help us to create a unified product offering that can provide an accessible gateway into trading that will empower our customers to grow with TradeStation. This is a unique opportunity to rework TradeStation's proven core brokerage technology into a modern, and simple experience for current and future customers. This team will be building out a modern tech stack for the future of TradeStation's consumer-focused(retail) application products.

The engineer team works on developing software solutions to our infrastructure problems. Individuals who are experienced software engineers and cloud infrastructure experts will be building a software-defined infrastructure stack on top of Kubernetes. You will be building a platform for the development teams to build amazing experiences for our customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand, execute and embody Site Reliability Engineering principles
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure for development teams to utilize
  • Build necessary guardrails to keep services operational and secure
  • Build templates and tools to accelerate development
  • Support teams to help them bring their applications to the cloud
  • Build service monitoring, alerting, and incident response automation and procedures.
  • Work in a DevOps environment, where development teams own both the development and operational responsibilities
  • As a senior engineer, provide leadership and mentorship to other engineers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Required:
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes abstractions and underlying mechanisms
  • Knowledge and proficiency in one or more modern general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Golang, C#, Java)
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure on one or more cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience building cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
  • Excellent communication skills to assist developers in building Cloud Native applications
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
Preferred:
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • Experience with distributed and scalable cloud architectures and techniques
  • Experience managing Linux deployments in the cloud
  • Experience securing cloud deployments
  • Advanced understanding of network and internet technologies (e.g. DNS, TLS, TCP, UDP, HTTP, WebSockets)
  • Brokerage/trading domain knowledge and experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Must have 5+ years of professional experience
