The Senior Trading Operations Specialist is a key member of the operations and client support teams supporting trade processes, order routing and trade execution, client reporting and portfolio reconciliation functions. This role will be responsible for monitoring client and firm risk for all tradeable assets and provide an enhanced level of customer support.  The role also requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in an elevated-stress environment.  The individual is required to act decisively and exercise independent judgment in the daily responsibilities of the position and will work closely with other departments such as the Client Services and Clearing Operations teams.
The Senior Trading Operations Specialist will also identify technological solutions that focus on improving processes and procedures. The candidate must effectively present ideas and information and successfully champion their causes as well as present proposals and make decisions about the future direction of the department. They must embrace an integrated, total business philosophy, including revenue generation ideas and cost containment.  This role is responsible for personnel development, contributions to strategic projects and identifying/analyzing areas of process improvement. This role should also anticipate changes in the business environment and develop plans to proactively address them, while also ensuring compliance with potential industry regulations. Risk awareness and aversion to both company and client are also imperative to the success of this role.
  • Real-time Risk Management and Risk Mitigation
  • Order creation and execution for all tradeable assets, including Crypto
  • Active monitoring live Crypto trading platform for signs of disorderly trading or abnormal activity
  • Post trade processing and resolving trade settlement issues in a timely manner
  • Experience managing a diverse team.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication & negotiation skills with great client focus
  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work with supervisor and operations team to enact enhancements
  • Participate in new product testing and introduction to the team
  • Consistently seek opportunities to improve processes, controls and procedures within the Crypto team
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Client Services and other operations areas
  • Establish and effectively monitor Crypto account level trading and broker restrictions
  • Review daily and periodic vendor reports and reconciliations. Identify potential issues and resolve with vendor
  • Monitor client cash flows; communicate and process according to firm procedures
  • Work closely with IT to ensure that all system issues are escalated and resolved quickly, and that systems are utilized by the team to optimal efficiency
  • Role may require working non-traditional business hours, including nights and weekends
  • Understanding of market structure and blockchain technologies
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed
  • Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and act decisively
  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
  • Possess sound judgement and flexibility to change direction and make quick decision in a fluid and stressful environment
  • Hands on trading experience and general market knowledge to understand key risks

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Active series 7, 63 and 3 licenses required, series 57 and 24 preferred 
  • Minimum of 5+ years financial industry experience with an emphasis on trading support and trade settlement
