Are you excited by the challenge of building real-time stock trading applications that handle millions of events per second?  If so, we have an opportunity for you as a developer, solutions architect and leader in an Agile environment, building high performance, real-time systems for financial markets. 
A key part of the role is delivering new products and features to our customers while modernizing our architecture and software engineering practices.  Success in this role requires a strong technical background with a high degree of technical proficiency, organizational skills and creativity.
  • Architect and develop new applications, services, frameworks and automation tools
  • Be a thought leader and mentor helping to define and evangelize our technology direction
  • Analyze business needs and proactively create or evolve architecture to empower development
  • Consult and collaborate across multiple Agile teams in a DevOps environment
  • Improve and maintain existing services and applications
  • Contribute best practices, templates, and recipes for successful software development
  • Demonstrated technical leadership as a team member in a hands-on role
  • Experience as a lead developer, making application design decisions, performing code reviews and mentoring team members
  • Hands-on Docker or Kubernetes experience
  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment and demonstrated success with structured testing practices such as automated unit testing, regression testing, TDD and continuous delivery
  • Experience with distributed and scalable software architectures, understanding of CAP theorem
  • Mastery of 1 or more modern general-purpose programming languages, such as C# or Java
  • Familiar with scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python etc.)
  • Experience with communication protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, ZeroMQ, WebSockets, Protobufs, HTTP)
  • Knowledgeable about multi-threading, inter-process communications and event handling
  • C# development experience
  • Experience in multiple programming languages such as Go, JavaScript/Nodejs, Python, Modern C
  • Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS or Azure)
  • Knowledge of financial markets/trading
  • Understanding of database programming, including RDBMS and NoSQL/document databases
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years software industry experience
