What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports, including regulatory filings
  • Reconcile sub-ledger to GL account balances
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Prepare charts and graphs to interpret financial data
  • Assist with month end close
  • Assist in the research and resolution of any issues involving accounts, records and reports generated within the department
  • Continuous support of budget and forecasting activities
  • Develop and maintain financial databases
  • Maintain chart of accounts
  • Assist with year-end audit and quarterly reviews
  • General Ad hoc projects as required
The Skills You Bring:
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles; knowledge of auditing practices and principles; and experience with accounting computer applications
  • Strong knowledge of intercompany transactions, reconciliation, and eliminations
  • Experience using ERP systems (MS Dynamics, Oracle, JDE, SAP)
  • Proficient in Excel and organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting degree or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing/taxation, and internal controls.
  • Financial services experience, specifically in the securities industry a plus
Desired Qualifications:
  • Public accounting firm experience highly preferable
