We are looking for a  Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test with a passion for QA and test automation. You will work in a dynamic highly challenging and always evolving environment. You will help evolve our test automation infrastructure as part of our Data Network. The Data Network team is responsible for delivering market data, from various exchanges to our internal and external customers.

Success in this role requires that you be a proactive, self-starter with a lot of energy and an eagerness to learn. Day to day you may find yourself living in the terminal using Bash, Python, and any other testing tool you may define, and coding C# and C++ on tools that enhance test automation and thus, system reliability.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Test plan creation, automation, and execution
• Document and track program defects
• Participate in code reviews
• Provide continuous integration test support
• Provide guidance to the rest of the team on designing for testability
• Build and manage automated testing suites including unit tests, integration tests
• Build, automate, and execute test plans that generate artifacts to validate the proper functioning of the app, and provide quality-related metrics
• Research and apply emerging test tools, trends, and methodologies

The Skills You Bring:

• Experience with C# & .NET Core
• Experience with software testing
• Practical async programming & multithreading experience
• Moderate database experience (i.e. SQL Server, NoSQL, Redis)
• One or more scripting languages suitable for automation such as Powershell, Bash, or Python
• Continuous build integration tools (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Must have a passion for analysis and testing
• Strong technical skills and raw intellectual ability
• Ability to turn requirements into tests
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt and learn

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in QA, with at least 3 years of QA automation experience (not web-related)
• Experience coding in C# or C++
• Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience

• Agile Development
• Real-time low latency streaming
• Distributed Source Control tools (Git)
• Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS or Azure)
• Multiple programming languages
• Sockets-based programming
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Knowledge of financial markets
