The VP of Marketing is a high-visibility executive leadership position that oversees all marketing operations of the company and develops TradeStation’s marketing strategy and vision. The position shares key responsibilities in successfully achieving our business growth vision.

The ideal candidate is a confident and strategic marketing innovator and an implementer of modern marketing practices, who gets excited about building a lean, fast-paced and highly-productive team of marketing professionals.  The VP of Marketing collaborates efficiently with the entire organization to guide a unified marketing strategy. The successful candidate is as passionate about creative marketing and brand stewardship, as about data analysis and metrics to manage our marketing strategy. S/he is a student of the industry, of emerging marketing trends and of our customer needs, who is able to formulate, lead and drive a powerful marketing strategy based on our products, brand promise and value proposition.
  • Design and drive of both the long-term strategic marketing plan as well as short-term tactical marketing activities
  • Develop and execute TradeStation’s marketing strategy across key customer interaction channels including website, email, SEO, digital media, social media, affiliate marketing, mobile app stores, co-marketing partnerships, PR, conferences and events to drive revenue, growth and partner engagement
  • Lead the strategic direction of TradeStation’s brand promise, visual identity, tone and voice, narrative, positioning, pricing, and competitive differentiation in order to support our business strategy
  • Develop and execute a clear and powerful corporate, executive, and client-communication strategy
  • Drive instrumentation of our lead-generation funnel through efficient, creative, high-quality, funnel programming and content strategy
  • Provide governance for business intelligence of prospect and client information to derive insights and optimize the lead capturing and conversion funnel
  • Translate client insights into education for other teams and input into corporate strategy
  • Effective positioning and rollout of new products and services across all business lines
  • Package and position ideas and products in ways that uniquely appeal to our consumer segments
  • Successful project tracking, traffic coordination, reporting and change management required to accomplish execution of marketing programs
  • Effective management of relationships with external marketing agencies and third-party marketing services vendors
  • Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, KPIs and reporting

  • 10+ years in marketing leadership roles in progressive, innovative, and fast-paced organizations with a track record of accomplishment in the areas described in the Essential Job Functions section above
  • Experience in an executive role of a company with broad leadership accountability required, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, collaboration, transparency, mutual support and cooperation with the entire organization
  • Experience in marketing leadership roles in Fintech, investing, trading or other financial industry preferred but not required
  • Proven track record of vision setting, successful strategic decision making, project tracking, change management and operational execution, driving scale, and building/managing high-performing marketing teams
  • Able to comfortably and effectively operate at tactical and strategic levels; comfortable working both in the details and presenting to the Board of Directors
  • Agile learning mindset, comfortable with adapting to new concepts, new marketing trends, new methodologies or new customer interaction channels; keen to implement innovative marketing tools and technologies
  • Able to gauge audience and tune approach in response to stated and unstated feedback
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experienced and skilled presenter

  • BA in Marketing required
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
