What We Are Looking For:

We’re seeking a Senior Director of Market Data, Security Master & API Products to serve as TradeStation’s market data subject matter expert and product leader. This role owns the full lifecycle of our market data products – from real-time exchange connectivity and Security Master modernization, through data enrichment, corporate actions, analytics, and customer distribution via APIs.

You will be accountable for strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes, ensuring TradeStation’s market data is accurate, scalable, compliant, and differentiated from competitors. This includes optimizing costs, managing vendor contracts, ensuring redistribution compliance, and monetizing enrichment and distribution opportunities.

You’ll partner with exchanges, vendors, regulators, engineering, and internal stakeholders to modernize infrastructure and deliver enriched data products that power every layer of the brokerage ecosystem – from risk and compliance to trader-facing platforms.

This role is both strategic and operational: you’ll modernize our market data stack, scale enrichment and analytics capabilities, and lead distribution through APIs (REST, GRPC, FIX) with best-in-class SLAs. As a Senior Director, you’ll directly manage product managers and represent TradeStation’s market data strategy at the senior leadership level and in external forums with exchanges and data vendors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the Market Data strategy end-to-end – from real-time exchange connectivity and feed handlers through enrichment, fan-out distribution, and customer delivery via APIs – positioning TradeStation’s data products as world-class and differentiated from competitors
• Act as TradeStation’s subject matter expert (SME) in real-time market data, with deep knowledge of exchange feeds, low-latency distribution, feed engines, symbology management, entitlement models, and market data infrastructure
• Lead modernization of the Security Master and reference data platforms, ensuring accurate, scalable, and real-time static data to power trading, risk, compliance, and client-facing systems
• Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for market data products, balancing near-term delivery with long-term vision for analytics, enrichment, historical/replay services, and distribution
• Lead and grow a high-performing organization, including direct management of product roadmaps (e.g., API)s, building expertise in market data, Security Master, entitlements, and enrichment across the firm
• Oversee the API product portfolio, with the Director of APIs reporting in ensuring APIs deliver best-in-class access to Market Data and Execution services, with expertise in streaming protocols (REST, GRPC, FIX) and API SLAs (throughput, rate limits, latency)
• Build and scale data enrichment and analytics capabilities that add value beyond raw feeds, enabling smarter trading insights, entitlement enforcement, and differentiated client experiences
• Partner with exchanges, vendors, and internal stakeholders to shape market data sourcing, contracts, and technology strategy while ensuring compliance with licensing, exchange audits, and regulatory requirements
• Define and deliver KPIs for latency, coverage, data quality, feed reconciliation, enrichment adoption, and customer engagement, driving measurable business impact from market data initiatives
• Oversee the costs and revenue associated with Market Data, managing vendor spend, exchange contracts, and entitlement models, while identifying opportunities to monetize enriched data and distribution capabilities
• Own quarterly KPI reviews across product areas; regularly communicate progress to senior leadership, tying milestones to business impact (e.g., latency reduction, SLA adherence, vendor cost optimization, enhanced entitlements)
• Represent Market Data strategy at the senior leadership level, aligning roadmaps with Brokerage Solutions, Technology, and Business Development to support enterprise growth
• Direct the full product lifecycle for Market Data and Security Master products – from opportunity identification through launch – working cross-functionally with Technology, Operations, Vendors, Compliance, and other departments
• Assess and present new product opportunities in market data, corporate actions, and Security Master infrastructure that support equities and options trading
• Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes, ensuring TradeStation remains on the leading edge of market data, APIs, and data delivery innovation
• Ensure regulatory and audit compliance, including exchange reporting obligations, entitlement tracking, and customer disclosures
• Direct and manage exchange and vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance oversight, usage audits, redistribution compliance, and vendor strategy alignment
• Continuously evaluate and improve business processes to drive scale, efficiency, high availability, and improved customer and stakeholder outcomes

The Skills You Bring:

• Deep expertise in real-time market data systems – hands-on experience with exchange feeds, feed handlers, low-latency fan-out distribution, entitlement engines, corporate actions workflows, Security Master/reference data systems, and symbology mapping
• In-depth understanding of markets, market structure, and exchange data models, including equities, options, and futures
• Excellent product management execution, applying best practices in agile development, opportunity sizing, and roadmap delivery
• Proven ability to define, track, and deliver measurable business outcomes – setting KPIs, driving accountability, and aligning product execution with business impact
• Experienced in managing complex vendor ecosystems (e.g., FIS Phase3, GMI, ICE, CME, Refinitiv, Bloomberg), including contracts, SLAs, audits, and budget oversight
• Proven ability to optimize costs and monetize market data products, leveraging enrichment, APIs, and analytics to create Data-as-a-Service offerings
• Deep familiarity with market data usage audits, exchange licensing models, and redistribution compliance frameworks
• Results-oriented with a bias toward action, demonstrating a track record of shipping complex, cross-functional initiatives on time and at scale
• Executive presence with the ability to represent TradeStation in senior-level discussions with exchanges, vendors, and regulators
• Hands-on experience with corporate actions engines and workflows (dividends, splits, mergers) integrated into Security Master
• Comfortable operating in high-urgency, high-visibility environments, with experience leading multi-year modernization initiatives in regulated brokerage environments
• Proficient in leveraging AI and LLM tools to enhance product management, entitlement monitoring, anomaly detection, and operational efficiency
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate technical detail into business outcomes
• Outstanding communicator and collaborator, able to influence across Technology, Operations, Compliance, and vendor organizations
• Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams, mentoring product managers, and growing organizational expertise
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives to successful completion

Minimum Qualifications:

• 15+ years total in financial services / fintech, with at least
  • 10+ years in Market Data / Reference Data / Security Master roles
  • 7+ years in Product Management or Technology leadership with direct ownership of data platforms
  • 5+ years managing teams, including Director-level reports
• Bachelor's degree required
