The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the TradeStation BI and analytics functions. The candidate will develop reporting, through the creation of strategic dashboards, to generate insights that will drive the business forward. They will help the business make informed decisions, accelerate and improve decision-making, optimize internal business processes, increase operational efficiencies and among other responsibilities, identify market trends.
 
The candidate will join a team that has been tasked with changing the paradigm of decision making by enabling better decision making based on a data driven approach. This role will develop KPI reporting, performance forecasting, behavioral analysis and predictive modeling. The ideal candidate thrives at delivering solutions to complex data problems, has an affinity for data and analytics in support of driving both product-level and business decisions, is a self-motivated leader and is comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels. As a dynamic leader, you will interface with business users across all functional areas to understand their analytic data needs and to develop a holistic data strategy and roadmap for analytics. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize analytical processes and associated KPI’s to improve how we measure and report on performance, resulting in executive dashboard reporting
  • Partner with product, business and finance team leaders to derive business insights from data and translate those insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Perform analysis on organization processes and provide appropriate results
  • Identify intelligence needs for each department through one-to-one communications with key employees
  • Implement the recommendations for intelligence reporting and management
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of trends affecting the industry in all relevant areas
  • Developing strategic and operational plans for the teams, managing execution, and measuring results
  • Build partnerships within the business unit/department and with other functional and technical areas

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Deep statistical analysis skills
  • Hands-on experience with BI methodology and technologies
  • Experience leveraging BI platforms like Microsoft Power BI to develop dashboards and reporting
  • Expertise with SQL, Excel, Power BI
  • Data cleansing and reconciliation
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with prior experience working with senior executives in technology and business areas
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and diverse environment
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and direct project work to achieve desired objectives
  • Ability to present analysis to technical and non-technical staff

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or a related field is required
  • Reasonable experience in project management
