Finance Operations Specialist - Crypto

The Finance Operations Specialist has a significant role to play in the support of TradeStation’s cryptocurrency business.  Primary responsibilities involve the daily administration of operational processes such as performing position and FIAT balance reconciliation, sub wallet reporting, net settlement and cashiering functions.  Additionally, the team works closely with many cryptocurrency exchanges, internal business sponsors and stakeholders to define, develop and implement new processes. To succeed you will need strong data analysis and organization skills, the ability to multitask and act decisively.
  • Ensure daily operational processes are completed, such as trade reporting, settlement data calculations, and trading fee rebates
  • Monitor payments requiring manual intervention
  • Authorize transfer of payments on both our OTC trading and custody platforms
  • Engage with third party vendors on trade confirmations in respect to both OTC and custody
  • Help optimize key middle and back office operating procedures
  • Build/create metrics as it pertains to various cryptocurrency, i.e. trade volume, breaks, fees, settlements, etc.
  • Responsible for providing payment support across multiple cryptocurrency liquidity and exchanges providers
  • Gather transaction monitoring requirements from stakeholders across internal departments and work with the management to prioritize and implement
  • Daily Enterprise and sub wallet reconciliation and reporting
  • Collaborate with system and strategy developers for analysis and debugging of technical issues
  • Open to work flexible shift, as required by the business

  • In depth knowledge of banking framework and payment method functionality
  • Hands on experience with payment processing and auditing practices relating to cryptocurrencies  
  • Oversee cryptocurrency wallet creation, transfer and blockchain verification process
  • Ability to balance and project net settlement deliverables intraday
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), time-management, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and make sound judgment in a fluid and stressful environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and VBA
  • Experience with cryptocurrency markets is preferred

  • 3-5+ years working in an operational role at a U.S exchange, financial or cryptocurrency institution doing trade reconciliations and authorization of fund transfers
  • An undergraduate degree in business or finance is preferred but not required
