The Global Operations Technician is responsible for all operations activities during shift work, including guaranteeing software and application upgrades based upon business requirements; managing the initial stages of all IT related incidents and providing proactive enterprise-wide monitoring of all systems, servers, and applications utilizing systems tools; and guaranteeing the availability and functionality of all systems and applications.
  • Guarantee all established practices and procedures for Networking and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems are followed
  • Monitors the environment and resolves issues utilizing available knowledge reference documentation.
  • Properly complete daily procedures related to data center operations
  • Ensures complete and timely hand-off of incidents to other support teams as appropriate
  • Interact with vendors to guarantee Data Center functionality
  • Coordinate Data Center hardware upgrades and maintenance as needed

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Data Center software and hardware configurations and network concepts and commands.
  • Intermediate understanding of the Microsoft Windows Operating System in a server environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a local or remote Data Center location and multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within networking and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Scripting experience in Python and/or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Must be able to work holidays and overtime if needed.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a Data Center NOC environment
  • A + Certification or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with virtualization a plus

  • Monday - Friday (9 pm-5 am)
  • WFH - 1 day after 6 month period
