Institutional Relationship Manager

The Institutional Relationship Manager will play an integral role in maintaining and supporting our Institutional clientele.  The incumbent will provide professional account services and technical support to existing institutional clients and handle various daily brokerage operational tasks.  The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented with excellent customer service skills.  The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to multi-task and troubleshoot real time issues in a fast-paced environment.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide a single point of contact for the institutional base of clients covering their needs including but not limited to technical issue resolution, reporting setups and product support
  • Provide account services support to Institutional clients and RIA’s for all areas of account maintenance which include account activity inquiries; allocations support; soft dollar; auditor requests; DVP/RVP settlements, margin calls and corporate actions
  • Serve as a liaison between client and clearing operations team

  • Handle daily brokerage operational functions for clearing accounts which include daily cashiering, margin calls, trade settlements for DVP/RVP, ACAT’s, trade breaks, post allocations, cancel/rebills and corporate actions
  • Set-up all internal trading parameters for new accounts which includes set-up and support for equity and futures allocations, buying power assignments for DVP, Give-up and Allocation accounts and soft dollar arrangements; end of day manual booking of trades as needed
  • Support API services including FIX and Web API offerings
  • Support internal and external SFTP services
  • Support product rollouts to customers
  • Interact with clients via email and telephone
  • Maintain workflow and follow up with new relationships to make sure all new accounts receive service in a timely manner
  • May be required to facilitate issue resolution and communication with clients
  • Other operational tasks as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge and understanding of brokerage operations, trading and overall industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers by phone and email
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Four-year college degree required
  • Securities licenses 7, 63 and 3 preferred, not required
