What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Market Data Operations to establish and lead day-to-day oversight and strategic direction for our market data network as part of Trading Operations. This is a newly created role that reports to the Vice President of Trading Operations. The position is modeled closely after the responsibilities of the Manager, Market Data Services within TradeStation Global Services and the Data Services team, but with significant expansion: the selected candidate will have primary ownership for the creation, buildout, and long-term maintenance of our new security master within the BOSS (Back Office Services System) middle office platform.

The role ensures market data integrity through robust validation, reconciliation, accuracy initiatives, and supports the multi-year BOSS migration project. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise for all tradeable asset classes—including equities, equity options, futures, and futures options—and lead the transition from our legacy TradeStation Technologies data infrastructure to the new Dev Experts DXFeed environment.

This position is a strategic “bridge” role: it will assume much of the historical market data network management workload while also pioneering the development and long-term support of a next-generation security master as part of TradeStation’s modernization initiative (BOSS). The candidate’s leadership will be critical in de-risking our phased migration to DXFeed and ensuring data integrity throughout the transition and into normal-state operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage and monitor, the day-to-day performance and resiliency of TradeStation’s market data network, with an eye toward proactive detection and mitigation of potential issues
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for real-time data anomalies, outages, and incident response, collaborating with technology, operations, and vendor teams
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls and regulatory obligations concerning market data management
  • Manage and continuously improve our procedures for:
    • Corporate action (CA) reporting and reconciliation
    • Real-time and historical data corrections
    • Symbology maintenance (additions, modifications, deletions)
    • Symbol lists and index component management
  • Manage regular reconciliation between exchange/vendor feeds and internal data repositories to assure integrity and accuracy
  • Architect and lead the creation, migration, and maintenance of the new security master to be integrated within BOSS
  • Capture & document all tradeable asset types supported by TradeStation: equities, equity options, futures, and futures options
  • Ensure security master completeness, correct mapping, and ongoing enrichment from Dev Experts market data feeds (DXFeed), and additional internal/external sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including PM, Data Integrity, and technology) to develop, document, and optimize onboarding processes for new symbols, asset classes, and corporate actions
  • Establish and maintain rigorous data governance practices within the security master, including audit trails, data lineage, and change management
  • Represent Trading Operations in all market data-related phases of the BOSS middle office build—a multi-year transformative initiative
  • Own the operational integration and phased migration of market data feeds from Dev Experts (DXFeed), prioritizing the transition of WebAPI and front-end platforms, and ensuring an orderly decommission of legacy TradeStation Technologies infrastructure
  • Manage the operational readiness, validation, and go-live events for each migration phase
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for market data vendors (including DXFeed, Dev Experts, exchanges), coordinating operational issues, reconciliation, billing, and compliance
  • Develop strong collaborative ties with Data Integrity, Technology, Product Management, and Compliance to jointly drive improvements in data quality and operational efficiency
  • Participate in cadence calls and strategic discussions involving market data matters (exchange reporting, corporate actions, data onboarding, etc.)
  • Mentor and train supporting operations staff; provide subject matter expertise for escalation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and team documentation (including those for incident management and system failover)
  • Identify workflow/system improvements and oversee the implementation of enhancements
  • Ensure proper adherence to regulatory requirements for all market data operations

The Skills You Bring:

  • Deep expertise in real-time and reference market data operations, including data validation, reconciliation, symbology management, and exchange product mapping
  • Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing a market data environment, ideally in a trading, brokerage, or exchange setting
  • Strong understanding of security master architecture, multi-asset class symbology, and data ingestion best practices
  • Familiarity with corporate actions processing, new listing/onboarding, and back-adjustments (splits, dividends, etc.), including related tooling and audit requirements
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding operational teams and delivering process improvements
  • Experience with vendor management, including negotiating, reviewing contracts, resolving escalations, and compliance oversight
  • Project management experience, especially in multi-phase, multi-team technology migrations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; must be able to interface at all levels of the organization and with external vendors/exchanges
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL), and familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools
  • Familiarity with middle office implementations and transition planning is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of cross-functional teamwork and high-pressure operational incident response
  • Direct experience with market data vendor feeds, reference data, or security master management strongly preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Active Series 3, 7, 57 and 63 licenses required
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ financial industry experience with an emphasis on trading support and trade settlement

What We Offer:

  • Collaborative work environment
  • Competitive Salaries
  • Yearly bonus and generous 401k plan
  • Comprehensive benefits for you and your family starting Day 1
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Flexible working environment
  • TradeStation Account employee benefits, as well as full access to trading education materials
  • Pay Range (US) $125-150K (Countries outside of the US have differing ranges in accordance with local labor markets)
