Junior Securities Lending Sales Professional

To be successful in the Securities Lending team involves many diverse skill sets.  Most importantly, you will need to work with the sales traders to identify securities that are in demand in the securities lending market and then use the internal tools to identify clients who hold the specific securities and then influence them to participate in the Fully Paid Lending program.  In addition to the above, you will be assisting more experienced team members in meeting the demands of the business while becoming increasingly involved with building client relationships and helping to maintain revenue targets.  Accomplishing these tasks while ensuring we are regulatorily compliant will be a large part of your day to day role.
As a Securities Lending team member, your journey begins working in a trading room environment where you will learn TradeStation’s security lending business, policies, products and techniques.  You will be taught the fundamental skills needed to be a security lending sales trader – from acquiring, building and managing client relationships to humanizing financial interactions – and we’ll equip you with everything you need as you move through the stages of development to ultimately speaking with clients and helping the team achieve their financial targets.
We’ll help you:
  • Get training and one-on-one coaching from experienced sales traders who are interested in your success
  • Earn your FINRA licenses that will allow you to speak with clients
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice.  Deliver client communication and information about the product with confidence and key market data that will show the client the benefit of our products and programs
  • Acquire the knowledge to discuss other key corporate programs and initiatives
  • Grow your network to eventually grow the product and programs offered by TradeStation
  • Build connections.  Work in the center of the financial universe, tapping into a range of experts, regulators, product and technology professionals

Additional Responsibilities as your skills and knowledge grows:
  • Be a strong partner to Product, Distribution and Marketing teams to help expand various distribution channels, to deepen penetration within existing channels, and to propose appropriate solutions that leverage the Team's resources and strengths to meet clients' investment needs.
  • Continuous assessment and evaluation of appropriate businesses and processes being performed within the team
  • On-going monitoring of client trading patterns with keen awareness of risk exposure, performance drivers, and market environments
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Some relevant financial services background
  • Basic knowledge financial instruments, terms & conditions and products
  • Advanced skills in data analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Must obtain FINRA Series 7 License within 90 calendar days
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • A self-motivated, highly driven and entrepreneurial personality
  • Proficiency with PCs and spreadsheet, database, work processing applications, and financial analysis software tools
