Purchase and Sales Specialist
Plantation, FL
Purchase and Sales responsibilities will include trade processing, clearance and reconciliation for equities, options, mutual funds and fixed income, processing option assignments and exercises, preparing departmental statistical spreadsheets and updating of the Security Master.
  • Research and resolve daily trade breaks and identify root causes and themes and remediation
  • Process trade corrections, cancel/rebills, daily reconciliation of CNS FundServ and OCC general ledger accounts
  • Process option assignments and exercises daily and on option expiration weekend (once a month)
  • Perform blue sheet and short interest reporting
  • Ensure mutual fund prospectus delivery
  • Be available to take nightly calls for nightly upload processing
  • Participate in audits
  • Review depository collateral requirements daily
  • Review Broadridge website to ensure all Post Sale Prospectuses are delivered to our customers
  • Processing of disposition worthless security
  • Work with Equity and Futures Trading, Contra Dealers, Settlements, Margins, ACATS, Compliance and other stakeholders at all levels
  • Participate in various audits
  • Monitor and pledge collateral at depositories as needed
  • Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine whether action is needed
  • Foster a team collaborative approach, one that encourages the exchange of ideas and principles

  • Working knowledge of Sungard’s Phase 3 system
  • Knowledge of OCC, DTC, settlements or ACT a plus
  • Basic knowledge of financial markets and accounting principles
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must be able to travel for business continuity purposes and be available to work weekends

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-5 years of financial service experience
  • 1- 4 year operations professional with experience supporting equities and options
  • 2+ years of experience in trade processing, clearance and reconciliation for equities, options, mutual funds and fixed income

  • Any combination of active FINRA Series 3, 4, 7, 24, or 99 licenses is preferred, but not required
