The SDET is responsible for creating and executing system test plan, test suites and test case. He/she will be responsible for creating new or updating existing automation frameworks and continuous evaluation of existing test cases for inclusion in regression test suites. He/she will also be creating new automation/manual test scripts for newly integrated features and development of tool sets to augment System QA and Development testing. The SDET will also work closely with Software Developers and other System QA engineers in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Design, develop and execute system test plans, suites and test cases for our Self-service web applications suite
  • Work closely with development teams to coordinate and deploy product and configuration changes to application test and production environments
  • Perform system integration testing of all codes prior to release
  • Change management - Maintain and update QA environments
  • Release management planning and rollout of staging and production changes (usually off market hours). Including preparation of all deployment instructions and post production validation of new versions or updates deployed to production
  • Document and report defects as well as create and maintain detailed test plans
  • Perform production issues triage and deployment
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Analyze and communicate test results to stakeholders
  • Participate in ongoing system process improvement initiatives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Self-service applications suite involves a broad range of technologies supporting multiple products and customers.  The candidate should have solid background in release management, DevOps, quality assurance and application management
  • Microsoft Test Manager management experience is required; JIRA, Confluence & Servicenow knowledge is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of operating systems and networks & internet service architectures
  • Familiar with test automation software and test management systems is desired
  • Scripting knowledge of VBScript, JavaScript, JQuery, and PowerShell is a plus
  • Demonstrated skill in testing real time distributed systems is desired
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues is required
  • Cloud Computing knowledge is a plus (Amazon Web Services, OpenStack)
  • Critical thinking and excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • 3-7 years of experience in Software Testing of Web applications / Application Management
  • Experience in trading or financial services preferred
