The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Systems will play a key role and be the in-house expert in bridging the gap between finance and technology.  The position will be responsible for monthly and quarterly consolidation of the financial planning process including: 1) managing the inputs into Oracle EPBCS, ensuring the accuracy of information derived from the system, and identifying process improvement opportunities, 2) preparing reporting packages for month-end and planning, and 3) understanding, maintaining, and development of enhancements of various reporting tools. 
  • Own the monthly/quarterly/annual financial planning and consolidation processes for all TradeStation subsidiaries through close working relationships with each of the controllership teams
  • Support Accounting month-end close activities, reporting and analysis of financial results
  • Provide training and systems support for end users within and outside of the Finance and Accounting department to the Oracle EPBCS and other financial systems including documentation of month-end procedures
  • Create, modify, and design reports and templates based on business requirements by liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Finance/Accounting users to understand business requirements, complete support tasks, configure setups, and create or revise existing documentation guidelines
  • Work hands-on with internal customers and stakeholders to understand business processes
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party managed services provider on outsourced tasks
  • Drive efficiencies in FP&A processes by automating manual tasks and processes
  • Participate in software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions and that current systems and processes are meeting organizational needs
  • Ensure that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of all related systems
  • Work as a process improvement agent and help to identify opportunities to remove redundancy
  • Anticipate problems, identify root causes, and be proactive about preventing issues from occurring
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle EPBCS with an emphasis in the Financials module and familiarity with Workforce, Capital Asset, and Project Financial planning modules
  • Strong Oracle EPBCS configuration and troubleshooting skills required
  • Familiar with Microsoft D365 or other similar accounting system
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of business process management
  • Familiar with Oracle EPBCS security roles
  • Must have advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with designing reports with tools such as Power BI and Tableau is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to explain system issues to non-technical personnel
  • Excellent knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and financial reporting
  • Must be self-directed and effective working independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrate an analytical, methodical, and creative approach to resolving issues
  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or IS
  • 2-3 years of experience with Oracle EPBCS
  • Strong systems and business analytics experience
  • Previous experience with financial services firm, especially broker-dealer, preferred
