What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Outside Sales, Institutional Team. This role is designed for a commercially minded, technically fluent professional who can manage institutional client relationships with a strong focus on client activation, revenue generation, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines:
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Deep knowledge of trading workflows and institutional client needs
  • Technical fluency in TradeStation's advanced offerings (especially APIs and trading technologies)
  • Commercial judgment to identify growth opportunities and tailor solutions to client use cases
This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Client Experience, Product, Operations, and other internal teams to help institutional clients launch successfully, scale faster, and generate ongoing revenue. This individual will also contribute to the development of client engagement frameworks, and best practices that elevate overall team performance.
This is an on-site position in our Plantation office at 8050 SW 10th Street, Suite 2000, Plantation, FL 33324.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own ongoing relationship management for assigned institutional clients, with a primary focus on:
  • Client activation
  • Revenue generation
  • Usage growth and expansion
  • Partner with Outside Sales and Client Experience leadership to move clients from signed opportunity to active, productive trading relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business model, trading workflow, and technical requirements
  • Tailor TradeStation solutions to client needs by aligning the right mix of:
  • Platform capabilities
  • API offerings
  • Connectivity / workflow options
  • Service and support resources
  • Serve as a technical-commercial liaison for clients, translating client requirements into actionable internal guidance
  • Drive adoption of advanced TradeStation capabilities, especially API-based and technology-enabled workflows
  • Identify business opportunities within existing relationships, including expansion, additional products, and increased trading activity
  • Support and solution discussions, onboarding planning, and technical coordination with internal teams to reduce time-to-activation
  • Monitor client progress, engagement, and revenue trends; proactively intervene when activation or growth stalls
  • Maintain strong internal coordination with Sales, Operations, Product, and Client Experience to ensure timely follow-through and a high-quality client experience
  • Represent TradeStation professionally in client meetings, solution discussions, and ongoing account reviews
  • Anticipate emerging client needs, market trends, and technology developments
  • Proactively surface insights and recommendations to leadership to inform institutional sales strategy
  • Serve as an informal resource and knowledge leader for the team
  • Share expertise on complex client situations, technical solutioning, and institutional best practices to elevate the broader team's effectiveness

The Skills You Bring:

  • Strong institutional relationship management skills with a focus on activation and revenue outcomes
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and client segments
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage/trading technology, including API-driven use cases and integrations
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value for clients
  • Strong consultative mindset—able to identify client needs, uncover opportunities, and recommend solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple client initiatives simultaneously
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High degree of professionalism, accountability, and ownership
  • Able to assess unusual or complex client situations and recommend tailored approaches drawing on experience
  • Ability to contribute to departmental goals through personal results and peer influence, not just individual account outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience working with sophisticated trading clients or institutional relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of trading platforms and technology-enabled brokerage solutions
  • Experience supporting client onboarding, activation, and/or post-sale growth
  • Experience with broker APIs, trading integrations, or technical onboarding workflows preferred
  • Background in institutional brokerage, fintech, market structure, or electronic trading environments preferred
  • Familiarity with active trader and institutional client operating models preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent professional experience, as applicable)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, brokerage, trading technology, institutional sales support, solutions engineering, or related roles
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 3, 57, or the ability to acquire within 120 days of employment start
Desired Qualifications:
