What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Securities Lending Operations Analyst who will be responsible for performing all daily operational processes involving our securities lending business. This role will report to and work closely with the Director of Securities Lending as well as senior members of the securities lending team. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of activity while gaining valuable market experience across US securities and trade lifecycle management. This position will allow the candidate opportunities to develop and grow their understanding of the securities lending and brokerage businesses.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work with department head and learn all processes of equity and fixed income lending support operations
- Become an integral part of the lending operations team, assist with covering broker-to-broker and fully paid lending accounts
- Facilitate mark-to-market adjustments, OCC marks processing, booking, cancel and correct borrows and loans, stock and cash break reconciliation, rate changes and contract compares
- Train with senior personnel and learn the Loanet application
- Complete EOD balancing and management reporting
- Process corporate actions and buy-in requests
- Set-up new counterparty accounts
- Initiate monthly interest rebate settlements
- Process quarterly audit confirmations

- Must operate with a high level of integrity and precision
- Analytical – Must be able to identify and manage firm risk
- Organization – Must be able to prioritize responsibilities to ensure deadlines provided by regulators and firm are followed
- Multi-Tasking – Must be able to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Communication – Must communicate effectively and efficiently with advisors and other operational groups
- Microsoft Excel – Compiling data and executing calculations
- Microsoft Access – Creating and managing various databases
- Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word proficiency
- Must be a self-starter with lots of initiative and enjoy working in a team atmosphere
- Willing to take on new objectives and initiatives to expand the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of brokerage operational experience/background recommended, preferably in securities lending
