What We Are Looking For:
Do you love the challenge of designing and building mission-critical low-latency distributed systems with high transaction rates? If so, we have an opportunity for you as a developer, architect and leader on an Agile team building high performance, real-time systems for financial applications. A key part of the role is delivering new services to our customers by modernizing our database architecture and engineering practices. Success in this role requires a strong technical background with a high degree of proficiency and creativity.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and develop new database solutions, both on-prem and cloud
- Be a technical thought leader and mentor
- Work in a cross-functional team in a DevOps environment
- Maintain and improve existing systems and applications
The Skills You Bring:
- Demonstrated technical leadership
- Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server 2016 or above
- Expert in SQL and database programming
- Must be a team player that is assertive, passionate, and goal-oriented
- Ability to make design decisions, perform code reviews and mentor team members
- Solid communication, organization and prioritization skills
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, continuous delivery and related concepts
- Familiarity with modern software design principles and patterns
- Expertise in systems design, development, implementation and deployment processes
- Experience with distributed and scalable software architectures; understanding of CAP theorem
- Understanding of NoSQL and document databases
- Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with mission-critical systems
- Knowledge of financial markets/trading
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

- Pay Range (US) $190-210K (Countries outside of the US have differing ranges in accordance with local labor markets)
