The Cryptocurrency Treasury Specialist will work within the Operations department to support the various cash management needs with an emphasis on Cryptocurrency activity. The specialist will be responsible for processing customer funds transfer requests of cash, as well as reconciling fiat and tokenized assets.  The candidate will also act as a liaison between our Sales and Client Services departments to respond to Treasury related inquiries. The individual will work with different internal teams to perform high volume service to individual and institutional accounts, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with Treasury manager and other business stakeholders to establish / define standard operations procedures related to the operational workflow of Cryptocurrency needs
  • Account reconciliations associated with both fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies, ensuring books and records are in line, all exceptions documented, reported and escalated in accordance with firm policy
  • Work with Settlements Specialist and accounting team to ensure all ledgers and accounts on the Street tie out as expected
  • Perform system testing and enhancements when required
  • Process various types of deposit and disbursement requests, as well as expense, fee, and other related client transactions
  • Work with regulators to ensure transparency, controls, governance and oversight
  • Responsible for multiple Treasury functions for business continuity during disaster recovery situations
  • Ability to travel for disaster recovery, training and other business purposes
  • Additional technical experience or familiarity with Excel VBA, Microsoft Power BI, or development indicatives are a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Experience in supporting Treasury functions with a focus or interest in Cryptocurrencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience completing reconciliations and investigation of breaks
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to ensure multiple deadlines are met
  • Able to meet commitments in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, internal firm policies and Compliance/AML requirements and how they pertain to processing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Treasury/Cashiering or self-clearing brokerage operations experience and/or training required
  • Accounting and reconciliation experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with SunGard Phase 3, GMI, or other preferred
