Marketing Budget Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
We seek a Marketing Budget Coordinator who will help monitor, reconcile, report, and forecast our marketing budget. The candidate will be expected to work as a liaison to our accounting and finance teams and ensure coordination and information exchange of all budgetary and spending activities in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor budget and accrued expenses and assist in the forecast report
  • Consult with marketing managers to ensure that all expenses are being planned and reported
  • Review receivable invoices and submit invoices for payment
  • Follow-up on invoice payment status and provide updates to marketing vendors
  • Promptly prepare monthly accruals to assist the accounting team
  • Reconcile budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Corresponding with various vendors/agencies to answer invoicing questions and resolve budgeting issues.
  • Summarize budget changes and escalate any issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Ensures that the marketing department complies with budget guidelines and regulations
  • Completes all related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 
  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet, creating formulas, tables, graphs, and charts
  • Experience in budget preparation, review, analysis, fiscal management, financial analysis, bookkeeping, and reporting.
  • Experience in using online budget/financial systems and standard office software programs
  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking
  • Effective verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills, plus strong organizational skills
  • Must maintain integrity, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor, and work collaboratively with diverse staff members of various levels
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
