POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for Network Engineers that have a passion to plan, design and build network topologies, tools and automation in the areas of Routing, Switching, Multicast and SDN. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for the planning, design and implementation of network solutions for the business and operations with a very strong emphasis on automation. You will work alongside other Network Engineers, System Engineers and Software Developers. This fast-paced environment will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for large scale networks and network automation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan, design, deploy, maintain and support network and firewall infrastructure services
  • Work with the operations team to create effective monitoring, alerting, reporting, automation and capacity planning for network infrastructure
  • Ensure network and firewall performance, availability, reliability, integrity and security.
  • Automate processes and implementations
  • Gather technical requirements to ensure project success
  • Create documentation of the physical and logical design
  • Create implementation and testing plans
  • Work with 3rd parties to implement projects and maintenance items within datacenters
  • Train staff to implement and administer solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis of major network and firewall infrastructure issues and develop strategies for preventative and permanent solutions.
  • Work within a team environment
  • Perform network infrastructure operations, maintenance, support and project duties as required during non-business hours.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Advanced knowledge of the following network services:
    • Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF)
    • IPv4 and IPv6 protocols
    • Multicast protocols
    • Layer 2 protocols (STP, vPC, MLAG)
    • Network Address Translations (NAT)
  • Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with operating and maintaining firewall solutions (preferably Palo Alto)
  • Experience with EVPN and VXLAN
  • Experience with enterprise wireless solutions
  • Solid understanding of packet analysis and traffic flow troubleshooting
  • Experience with automation solutions (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) applied to network devices
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
  • Experience with Datacenter management solutions (Netbox, Infoblox, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Python scripting
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years’ experience working in an enterprise, mission critical and low latency Cisco or Arista network environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in related IT or engineering field
CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  • One or more of the following Certifications:
    • CCNP Cloud
    • CCNP Routing and Switching
    • CCNP Data Center
    • CCDP
    • CCIE
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • Microsoft Azure Architect
    • Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent
