We are actively seeking a talented, experienced, Agile Product Owner focused primarily on the processing of customer fund transfers and omnibus clearing to work with a skilled team responsible for our online brokerage products.  Applicants must have expertise in trading /securities industry concepts, practices, and procedures..
The primary focus of the Senior Product Owner is to manage the development initiatives related to cashiering and help establish the business value for their development and implementation.
  • Collaborate on technical and strategy roadmaps
  • Collaborate with product management and technical teams to drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, define priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
  • Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Work closely with the technical development manager to lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Define and execute the go-to-market plan, ensuring that product management, executives, and stakeholders have what they need to be successful
  • Act as the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams, including communicating team and product metrics to stakeholders
  • Analyze our data volume and trends over time to anticipate how the volume may impact systems
  • Participate in emergency calls that occur due to outages, network issues, or client impacting events and aid in resolution paths
  • Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with developers, product management, operations, and other teams
  • Work flexible hours to support a mission-critical, 24/7 system
  • Be pragmatic and results driven
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies 
  • Resourceful problem solving to help deliver critical initiatives for the company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with multiple development groups and internal stakeholders; must be an expert communicator, making sure there is buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy, and clear instructions and deliverables for the developers
  • Ability to communicate domain knowledge, describe business requests, and clarify issues both in-person and in writing
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to investigate, summarize and present new product opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s/MBA a plus)
  • 5+ years of financial data product management experience or relevant finance domain-specific experience
  • Experience with trading platforms
  • Experience with middle/back office trading systems is a plus
