This position is designed for somebody who enjoys a fast-paced and high-energy start-up environment. You will be reporting directly to our VP of Marketing.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  
The content writer position is a strategic as well as an operational role who will drive TradeStation’s content strategy within the Marketing Department. You will have the opportunity to transform the way we connect with our customers and drive business growth through content. From improving content architecture to helping define the content strategy, your work will impact the entire user experience. You will serve as an interpreter and analyst, gathering a wide array of information on TradeStation product offerings and services and helping communicate those in a creative, consistent and compelling way.  This position will support key marketing areas such as CRM, Campaign Management, Website Development and SEO Strategies.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead the overall marketing content strategy for TradeStation and work closely with other writers in a collaboratively way
  • Design and write content that seamlessly leads the customer through a successful experience
  • Responsible for creating unique content for websites, newsletters, campaigns, video scripting, CRM and other marketing initiatives
  • Humanize our product offerings and create relationships with our users by crafting a product-to-person dialogue in a distinct brand voice
  • Ensure cohesive narratives across various products while upholding brand voice and tone
  • Implement our newly developed brand book and helps us evolve it through innovative content strategy
  • Use journey mapping and frameworks to create an experience that reflects the customer mindset
  • Offer a strong point of view on what our audience needs and the role content plays in delivering customer experiences
  • Work with agencies as they develop subject-specific, short-form content including Digital campaigns and Social Media posts
  • Analyze existing materials, synthesize concepts and propose how to creatively elevate content for all marketing plans
  • Partner with marketing colleagues in creative development for different marketing initiatives
  • Provide advice on graphic content, help to develop concepts for written materials, A/B testing
  • Foster “ideation” to lead the creative process of finding a subject, title and angle to write about
  • On-going research industry-related topics through online sources, marketing intelligence tools and overall articles to write marketing copy to promote TradeStation products and services
  • Work with PR Agency, Creative and Media agency as needed
  • Be curious about content best practices, new trends, forums and events to continue evolving the function at TradeStation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent proven writing and communication capabilities
  • Intellectual curiosity, a passion for creative content writing and a collaborative spirit
  • Strong organizational and research skills
  • Ability to adapt tone and content for various audiences
  • Understanding of SEO and its implications with content writing
  • Knowledge of various web formatting tools such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and/or any other content management system (or at least a willingness to learn)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, communicate expectations effectively, and manage time appropriately

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years’ experience in writing, journalism, marketing, communications and/or public relations
  • Demonstrated strength in content creation with proven examples
  • Mastery of the English language
  • Trading and/or financial markets knowledge are a major plus
